WWE NXT wrestler Dani Palmer undergoing double hip surgery

WWE NXT wrestler Dani Palmer is starting on her road to recovery after undergoing the first of two hip surgeries.

Palmer made an Instagram post on Wednesday revealing that she needs to have double hip surgery. The first surgery was done on Wednesday and went “fantastic.” She’ll be undergoing the second surgery later this year.

Palmer wrote:

Jeremiah 29:11. This year so far has been chaotic…scary but BEAUTIFUL…and nothing like the plan I had in mind for 2024…but I have a peace that makes no sense because I know the author of my story. I have to have a double hip surgery this year, and God is great because I knocked the first one out this morning and it went fantastic! Thank you everyone for all the prayers.

Before signing with WWE in 2022, Palmer (real name AJ Amrhein) was a fitness instructor. She’s a former tumbler for Baylor University and was named their Female Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2020.

Palmer debuted for WWE on NXT Level Up in November 2022. She started on NXT television in 2023. In last year’s Women’s Breakout Tournament, Palmer lost to Lola Vice in the first round.
