WWE NXT viewership up for Spring Breakin’

Tuesday night’s special Spring Breakin’ edition of NXT averaged 661,000 viewers on the USA Network. That’s up 14.6 percent from last week and is the highest viewership number the show has done since January 4 of this year.

NXT finished 33rd on the cable charts in the 18-49 demo with a 0.13 rating, down 7.1 percent from the previous week, so the show skewed a lot older than usual.

The charts were dominated by NBA playoff coverage as the two games on TNT averaged 4.1 million and 5.3 million viewers respectively with 18-49 ratings of 1.39 and 1.76.

The NXT special had a big increase with females 12-34, which were up 75 percent from last week. People over 50 were also up 21.2 percent, which was the main reason for the overall viewership increase. Males in the 12-34 age group dropped 25 percent and — in fact — there were more females than males watching in that age group.

As compared to the same week in 2021, NXT was down 13.1 percent in overall viewers and down 27.8 percent in 18-49.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo numbers for NXT. This week’s show was up 9.4 percent in viewers but even in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.
