WWE NXT viewership steady, 18-49 demo rating up

Tuesday night’s episode of NXT averaged 663,000 viewers on the USA Network, almost identical to last week’s 664,000 viewers. Despite the show featuring two title matches, it’s the lowest viewership total for NXT since October 4.

In the 18-49 demo, NXT finished 26th on the cable charts with a 0.17 rating. That’s up 13.3 percent from last week and is NXT’s highest rating in that category since October 18. It’s NXT’s fourth-best rating of 2022 so far.

NXT had stronger-than-usual sports competition with a college basketball game on ESPN averaging more than two million viewers (0.54 rating in 18-49) and the NBA on TNT averaging one million viewers (0.37 in 18-49). Both of those games aired head-to-head with NXT.

NXT’s ratings were up from last week in most categories. The biggest increase came with women 18-49, which were up 66.7 percent to a 0.15 rating. That’s NXT’s highest rating in that demo since September 21, 2021. The biggest decline was with males 12-34, which were down 18.2 percent. The main reason for the overall viewership decline was a 7.7 percent drop with people over 50.

As compared with the same week in 2021, NXT was up 15.5 percent in overall viewership and up 54.6 percent in 18-49.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and individual demo ratings for NXT, as well as the 10-week averages in all categories. This week’s show was down 3.2 percent in overall viewers but up 13.3 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages. The audience was much younger with a higher percentage of female viewership than usual.
