WWE NXT viewership down against NBA, NCAA competition

Last night’s episode of WWE NXT averaged 588,000 viewers on the USA Network, as first reported by Wrestlenomics. That’s down 10.1 percent from last week’s Roadblock show and is the second lowest audience the show has done since July 4 of last year.
NXT finished fifth on the cable sports charts with a 0.16 rating in the 18-49 demo, the same rating the show did the previous week. That matches the lowest rating in that category for NXT, the same July 4 episode.
The show went head to head with an NBA game on TNT that finished second on the cable sports charts with a 0.30 18-49 rating and the second hour also aired opposite ESPN’s coverage of NCAA basketball that topped the charts with a 0.36 rating.
As compared to the same week in 2023, NXT overall viewership was down 0.3 percent while the 18-49 rating was up 6.7 percent. It’s the first time in 12 weeks the show has had a year-over-year decline in total viewers.
Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo ratings for WWE NXT on the USA Network as well as the 10-week average in both categories. This week’s show was down 10.9 percent in total viewers and 15.8 percent in 18-49 as compared to recent averages.
