WWE NXT video highlights: ‘Swerve’ Scott wins North American title

A title change headlined the final NXT episode before the Great American Bash.

Isaiah “Swerve” Scott defeated Bronson Reed in last night’s main event to win the NXT North American Championship. The match had been announced earlier in the show after Scott and his Hit Row stablemates confronted Reed during a backstage interview and challenged him to put his title on the line.

After involvement by Hit Row’s Top Dolla, Ashante “Thee” Adonis, and B-Fab, Scott hit a 450 splash to Reed’s back and pinned him to win the North American title. This is the first championship that Scott has held in WWE.

Reed, who has worked dark matches at main roster shows recently and appeared on Main Event last week, tweeted after losing the North American title: “My fans, my friends, my family. My wife. I failed you. I’m sorry. Now what? @WWENXT”
