WWE NXT video highlights: Great American Bash night one
NXT’s Great American Bash began last night and featured NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai and Sasha Banks facing off in their first-ever singles match against each other.
Shirai defeated Banks in last night’s main event, which was non-title and featured involvement from Bayley and Asuka. After Bayley interfered, Asuka came out to the ring and spit green mist in Banks’ eyes. Banks kicked out of a pinning attempt by Shirai, but Shirai connected with a moonsault from the top rope to get the win.
Last night’s show also featured Dexter Lumis vs. Roderick Strong in a strap match, Rhea Ripley vs. Aliyah & Robert Stone in a handicap match, Timothy Thatcher vs. Oney Lorcan, and Mia Yim vs. Tegan Nox vs. Candice LeRae vs. Dakota Kai in a fatal four-way elimination match to determine Shirai’s first challenger.
Plus, a Prime Target special feature built up the winner-take-all title vs. title match between NXT Champion Adam Cole and NXT North American Champion Keith Lee for Great American Bash night two next Wednesday.
