WWE NXT video highlights: Finn Balor vs. Roderick Strong

Ahead of next week’s NXT Championship match, Finn Balor was in action against one of Adam Cole’s former friends last night.
Balor defeated Roderick Strong in non-title action in the main event of last night’s NXT. The match was set up when Balor interrupted Strong earlier in the show. Strong wanted an explanation for why Cole turned against him last week, but Balor came to the ring instead. Balor announced that he’ll be defending his NXT Championship against Cole next Wednesday.
Strong blamed Balor for Undisputed Era’s issues, but Balor said the NXT Championship was the reason their “so-called brotherhood” broke apart. Balor and Strong then brawled after Balor said that Strong will never be a leader and will always be a follower.
Balor and Cole had a staredown when Cole came out to the stage after last night’s main event. WWE also uploaded a post-show video where Balor and Cole had a confrontation in the ring.
The Women’s Tag Team titles were on the line as Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler defended against women’s Dusty Classic winners Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez last night. But the match ended in controversy when — after the referee was knocked down when Gonzalez went to give Jax a big boot — WWE authority figure Adam Pearce brought a Raw referee out to the ring. Despite Kai not being the legal person, the referee called for the bell when she passed out in the Kirifuda Clutch.
Following the ending of the Women’s Tag Team title match, NXT general manager William Regal said that he’ll make an announcement that will “change the landscape of NXT” next week.
