WWE NXT video highlights: Adam Cole-Pat McAfee confrontation

A confrontation between Adam Cole and Pat McAfee closed last night’s episode of NXT.

After an angle that was shot on McAfee’s radio show last month, WWE followed up on Cole and McAfee’s issues by having Triple H invite McAfee to last night’s NXT. It was teased that Cole and McAfee had buried the hatchet before the show, with McAfee posting pictures of him talking to Cole and them shaking hands. “I feel like the convo was something that doesn’t happen often anymore..2 people have a miscommunication, they talk about, can agree to disagree about some things & they move forward,” McAfee wrote.

But McAfee was on commentary for the last two matches of last night’s NXT and became more heelish as the show went on, insulting Cole and causing Beth Phoenix to walk off commentary after she didn’t like what McAfee was saying.

Cole confronted McAfee about what he was saying and told McAfee that he needed to chill out. As Cole walked away, McAfee called him “an angry elf.” McAfee and Cole were then separated by officials — including Triple H and Shawn Michaels. The distraction caused Cole’s Undisputed Era stablemates to lose their match against NXT Tag Team Champions Imperium.

McAfee said that Cole will be an “itty bitty, short little bitch” for the rest of his life. Cole then lunged after McAfee on the announce table and as they were being separated, McAfee got enough space to punt Cole in the head, knocking him out.
