WWE NXT ratings down for New Year’s Evil fallout

Tuesday night’s edition of NXT averaged 647,000 viewers on the USA Network, down 5.5 percent from last week’s New Year’s Evil episode. It’s the lowest audience for the show since December 21.

In the 18-49 demo, NXT finished 40th on the cable charts with a 0.14 rating. That’s down 12.5 percent from New Year’s Evil and is also the show’s lowest number since December 21.

Numbers were down across every age group with the exception of people over 50, which were up 2.7 percent. The biggest drop was with females 12-34, which were down 50 percent.

There was no major sports competition for NXT as the Tuesday NBA game aired on NBA TV and averaged 746,000 viewers and a 0.19 in the demo. College basketball on ESPN also went against NXT.

As compared to this week in 2021 when the show still aired against AEW Dynamite on Wednesdays, NXT was up 17.4 percent in viewers but was even in 18-49. So, this week’s episode skewed much older than at this time in 2021.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo numbers for NXT. Tuesday’s episode was up five percent in viewers and was even in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.
