WWE NXT Great American Bash to be two-week event

The Great American Bash is now a two-week event.
It was announced during NXT that the show will now take place on July 30 and August 6. When the special was first announced back at NXT Heatwave, only the August date was shown. Both nights will air on SYFY instead of the USA Network due to Olympics coverage.
Thus far the only match confirmed for The Great American Bash is Roxanne Perez defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Thea Hail. The two ended up having a confrontation on Tuesday’s show, trading submission attempts until Ridge Holland pulled Hail off of Perez.
This will be the fifth year in a row that NXT has aired a Great American Bash special, which dates back to the late eighties with the NWA and later in WCW. Last year’s streaming special on Peacock was headlined by Carmelo Hayes defending the NXT Championship against Ilja Dragunov and Tiffany Stratton defeating Thea Hail to retain the NXT Women’s Championship.
