WWE NXT draws record-low ratings with move to Syfy

Last night’s NXT, which was moved to Syfy due to the USA Network airing Winter Olympic coverage, averaged 400,000 viewers. That’s down 23.1 percent from the number the show did both weeks it aired on Syfy last July and August when it was moved due to the Summer Olympics.
It’s the lowest viewership in the history of the show. NXT also did a record-low rating in the 18-49 demo, drawing a 0.07. That’s down 30 percent from the previous record low, which was also when the show aired on Syfy last summer.
NXT finished 77th on the cable TV charts, meaning that detailed demo information is not available since it fell outside the top 50.
NXT was down 28.3 percent in viewership from the same week in 2021 and down 41.7 percent in 18-49, although that’s not really a fair comparison.
As compared to the recent 10-week average on the USA Network, NXT was down 35.2 percent in overall viewers and down 50 percent in 18-49. That’s a far greater decline than what Raw had the night before, also airing on Syfy due to the Olympics.
Here’s a look at past viewership and demo ratings for NXT on Syfy:
- July 27, 2021 — 520,000 viewers, 0.12 rating in 18-49
- August 3, 2021 — 520,000 viewers, 0.10 rating in 18-49
