WWE NXT to determine Samoa Joe’s first challenger next week

A fatal four-way number one contender’s match will determine the first challenger for Samoa Joe’s NXT Championship.
Tommaso Ciampa, Kyle O’Reilly, LA Knight, and Pete Dunne will face off in an NXT Championship number one contender’s match on NXT next Tuesday. The announcement was made by general manager William Regal on tonight’s episode of the show.
Joe defeated Karrion Kross to win the NXT Championship at TakeOver 36 last month. It’s Joe’s third NXT Championship reign. His first two reigns with the title were in 2016.
Dunne, Knight, and O’Reilly all confronted Joe on NXT following his title win. Ciampa also got involved and fought with Dunne and Ridge Holland.
Ciampa defeated Holland on NXT last week, Knight defeated Johnny Gargano, and O’Reilly defeated Duke Hudson.
WWE has also announced that NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez will defend her title against Franky Monet on NXT next Tuesday. Plus, the show will feature the wedding of Indi Hartwell & Dexter Lumis.
Next week’s NXT will mark the official start of the brand’s revamp. It will include the debut of NXT’s new logo and a new look for the Capitol Wrestling Center being revealed.
