WWE introducing Women’s NXT North American Championship

The NXT women’s division is getting another championship.
During Stand & Deliver on Saturday, it was announced that WWE is introducing a Women’s NXT North American title. The inaugural champion will be crowned “soon,” but further details past that have not been disclosed.
NXT general manager Ava made the announcement after a six-woman tag match where Thea Hail, Kelani Jordan & Fallon Henley defeated Jacy Jayne, Kiana James & Izzi Dame.

“If that tag match doesn’t show why we have the best women’s division in all of professional wrestling, then I have no idea what does,” Ava said. “I truly believe that the women are the backbone of NXT. That is why I am so excited and honored to announce that soon we will be crowning the first-ever Women’s NXT North American Champion.”
The Women’s North American Championship will be a secondary singles title for the NXT women’s division. The division’s main title is the NXT Women’s Championship, which is now held by Roxanne Perez.
NXT’s men’s North American Championship has existed since 2018.
It looks like the NXT women’s roster is also getting a big new addition. Former Stardom wrestler Giulia was shown sitting in the crowd at Stand & Deliver.
