Winner-take-all title vs. title match official for July 8 episode of NXT

With Keith Lee retaining his North American Championship tonight, the participants for NXT’s winner-take-all champion vs. champion match are now official.

Adam Cole will face off with Lee on the Wednesday, July 8 episode of NXT. Cole’s NXT Championship and Lee’s NXT North American Championship will both be on the line in the match.

In the main event of tonight’s NXT episode, Lee defeated Finn Balor and Johnny Gargano in a triple threat match to retain his North American title. Lee hit the Big Bang Catastrophe on Gargano near the end of the match. Balor jumped off the top rope with a Coup de Grace to break up the pin, but Lee moved out of the way and Balor only hit Gargano. Lee then hit the Big Bang Catastrophe on Balor to get the win.

Cole came out to the ring after tonight’s main event and went face-to-face with Lee. They each held their respective title belts up in the air as the show ended.

The July 8 episode of NXT will go up against the second night of AEW’s Fyter Fest.
