Tyler Bate return, two matches announced for next week’s WWE NXT
The return of Tyler Bate, plus two tag team matches have been announced for the January 17 episode of WWE NXT.
Bate’s impending return was announced during this week’s episode with a video package. Bate’s last in-ring appearance on NXT came in September where he lost to JD McDonagh in singles competition.
Also set for next week, the returning Gallus duo of Wolfgang and Mark Coffey will take on Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen in tag team action. Gallus were given a storyline suspension in September after losing a Pub Rules match to Briggs and Jensen, and attacked the duo in a backstage segment on their return on this week’s show.
In another tag bout announced for January 17, Apollo Crews and Axiom will face Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams.
A hype video for Stevie Turner also aired during this week’s episode, teasing the NXT debut of the former NXT UK talent, though no date for Turner’s debut was set.
