Triple H appears at NXT Stand & Deliver, embraces Tommaso Ciampa

Triple H appeared at this afternoon’s NXT Stand and Deliver event, embracing Tommaso Ciampa following his match.
After Tony D’Angelo defeated Ciampa and made his exit, Ciampa got back up on his feet, with people chanting “thank you Ciampa”. As he was walking up the rampway, Triple H’s music hit as he came out and hugged Ciampa. Triple H raised Ciampa’s hand then made his exit as Ciampa posed for the crowd before leaving.
Today marked the first time since his health issues that Triple H appeared on camera at a NXT event. In August of last year, it was announced that Triple H had suffered a cardiac event due to a genetic issue. In an interview with Stephen A. Smith this week, Triple H announced that he was retiring from in-ring wrestling, noting that he now had a defibrillator in his chest.
Ciampa in recent weeks has been wrestling on the main roster, appearing on both Raw and Main Event. He competed in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal that took place on SmackDown on Friday that was won by Madcap Moss.
