Trick Williams to face Shawn Spears on WWE NXT
NXT Champion Trick Williams is facing off against Shawn Spears in non-title action.
WWE has revealed that Williams vs. Spears will take place on NXT this Tuesday. The announcement comes after both were involved in a brawl that went down on the most recent episode of the show.
Williams was on commentary when Ethan Page defeated Je’Von Evans in the main event of NXT earlier this week. Following the match, a brawl took place with Williams & Evans aligned against Spears & Page. The show ended with all four laid out in the ring and the NXT Championship belt laying between them.
Evans had won a battle royal earlier in the night to be confirmed as Williams’ NXT Heatwave challenger, but with the way the show ended, it looks like it will be Williams vs. Evans vs. Spears vs. Page in a fatal four-way match at Heatwave. The event is being held in Toronto on Sunday, July 7.
