Trick Williams on Lash Legend’s WWE Evolution performance: ‘That was a beautiful thing’
Trick Williams watched on with pride as his girlfriend Lash Legend had the biggest moment of her career so far at WWE Evolution.
In her hometown of Atlanta, Legend was among the NXT contingent who participated in the Evolution Battle Royal on Sunday night. She made it to the final two of the match before losing out to main roster star Stephanie Vaquer. Along the way, Legend got to shine by eliminating Nikki Bella and lifting up Nia Jax for her elimination.
Williams was interviewed by the Battleground Podcast following Evolution and expressed how proud he was of Legend.
“Man, that was a beautiful thing,” he said. “I mean, in her hometown of the ATL of Atlanta. Watching her succeed, watching her do incredible things, man. She picked Nia Jax up — how many women do you think are capable of doing such a thing? Not many. She picked Zelina [Vega] up like a little rag doll [and threw her out]. Hit Nikki Bella in the mouth. I was a proud supporter [on Sunday], I’m not going to lie.”
Legend (real name Anriel Howard) is a former college basketball star and was drafted to the WNBA in 2019 prior to joining WWE in 2020. She and Williams recently bought a house together.
The Battleground Podcast’s interview with Williams was to promote TNA Slammiversary 2025, where Williams will defend his TNA World Championship against Joe Hendry and Mike Santana in a triple threat match this Sunday (July 20). Before that, there will be a six-man tag bout on NXT tonight where Williams, Hendry & Santana face off against DarkState.
