Tommaso Ciampa returning to NXT TV

The post-TakeOver XXX episode of NXT will feature Tommaso Ciampa’s return to television.

A video aired on tonight’s TakeOver special announcing that Ciampa will return to NXT TV this Wednesday.. It will be the first time Ciampa has appeared since the fallout of his match against Karrion Kross at TakeOver: In Your House.

Kross defeated Ciampa at TakeOver: In Your House this June. On the NXT episode after that event, a video aired with Ciampa leaving the building hours after the show. An interviewer asked Ciampa what was going through his mind, if Kross was tougher than Ciampa expected, and if Ciampa was ready for Kross. Ciampa didn’t respond to any of the questions.

Kross defeated Keith Lee to win the NXT Championship in the main event of TakeOver XXX tonight, but Triple H said on his post-show conference call that it looks like Kross suffered a separated shoulder during the match. Triple H said Kross will be getting an MRI and they hope it isn’t anything too bad and is something they can work around or work through.
