Tommaso Ciampa vs. Dolph Ziggler set for next week’s WWE NXT

Tommaso Ciampa vs. Dolph Ziggler, as well as two other matches, have been announced for next week’s NXT.

Also announced for next week’s show is the start of the Women’s Dusty Cup, LA Knight vs. Grayson Waller, and the debut of Nikkita Lyons.

Ziggler was interviewed by McKenzie Mitchell on tonight’s NXT Vengeance Day event. Ziggler put over Ciampa’s popularity in Florida and told Ciampa that he would end his hopes of winning the NXT Championship back.

The two confronted one another on last week’s episode of NXT after Ziggler had interrupted a championship summit between Bron Breakker and Santos Escobar. Ciampa cut off Ziggler and the two brawled. On tonight’s show, Ziggler came out during the main event between Breakker and Escobar, but Ciampa prevented Ziggler from interfering as the two brawled to the back.

Knight confronted Waller on tonight’s NXT after Waller threatened to have Knight arrested on last week’s show. Waller brought out police officers and demanded that Knight be arrested based on breaking Waller’s restraining order. After Knight pointed out that the order was waived as a result of Waller attacking Knight first, the police officers left, leaving Waller to be laid out by Knight.

The Women’s Dusty Cup will also begin on next week’s show. No specific match has been announced and no bracket has been released.
