TNA’s Jordynne Grace to challenge Roxanne Perez at WWE NXT Battleground

An interpromotional match for the NXT Women’s Championship is set for NXT Battleground.
After Roxanne Perez asked Ava who she was set to face at next weekend’s premium live event at the UFC Apex, TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace came out as a surprise. The fans in the arena chanted “TNA” as Grace told Perez that she was planning on leaving Las Vegas as a double champion.
Grace, who has been Knockouts champion since January, made an appearance at the Royal Rumble, the first sign of a working relationship between TNA and WWE. She lasted long in the Rumble match before eventually being eliminated by Bianca Belair.
Another title match was confirmed for Battleground when The OC (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) challenged Nathan Frazer and Axiom for the NXT Tag Team titles. After The OC defeated Edris Enofe & Malik Blade, the champions attacked Gallows and Anderson, accepting their challenge.
At the start of NXT, rapper Sexxy Red came out and introduced the NXT Women’s North American Championship. She also announced that she would be hosting Battleground.
