Timothy Thatcher added to WWE NXT gauntlet eliminator match

The fourth participant in the upcoming NXT gauntlet eliminator match has been announced.

Timothy Thatcher has been added to the match. He joins Kushida, Kyle O’Reilly, and Cameron Grimes in a match where the winner will get the next shot at Finn Balor for the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver on October 4. The match will feature five participants, with one yet to be announced.

The rules of this match are as follows:

• Two wrestlers start in the ring.
• Every four minutes, another wrestler will enter the match.
• Eliminations occur via pinfall or submission.
• The last person standing in the match will be the new number one contender.

NXT this Wednesday will also feature a women’s battle royal, with the winner facing Io Shirai at TakeOver. Participants announced include Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox, Dakota Kai, Raquel Gonzalez, Shotzi Blackheart, Aliyah, Kayden Carter, Indi Hartwell, Xia Li, and Kacy Catanzaro.

Tommaso Ciampa will also face Jake Atlas in a singles match following an attack several weeks ago that led to Atlas being stretchered out.
