Teoman to make NXT UK debut next week

A new addition to the NXT UK roster will arrive next week.
On this week’s NXT UK episode, a video aired with Metehan Kocabasoglu (formerly known as Lucky Kid and Metehan) revealing that his new in-ring name is Teoman. It was announced that Teoman will make his NXT UK debut next Thursday.
After it was announced in January that Kocabasoglu had signed with WWE and was joining NXT UK, videos hyping his debut began airing last week. Kocabasoglu is a former wXw 16 Carat Gold tournament winner and a former wXw Shotgun Champion and Tag Team Champion.
The videos hyping Kocabasoglu’s debut told the story of a “lucky kid” who grew up in one of the poorest and toughest districts in Berlin, Germany. He was the oldest kid in his family and it was up to him to take care of them.. In order to survive on the streets, you needed money or friends — but this kid had neither. But the kid knew that one day everyone would honor, respect, and fear him.
Kocabasoglu revealed that the “lucky kid” is him. Kocabasoglu said he had to fight much harder than everyone else to now be able to provide anything his family needs. He said it isn’t about how rich or poor you grew up, it’s about how hard you fight to make people honor you, how hard you’re going to strike to make people respect you, and how far you’re willing to go to make people fear you.
WWE.com wrote when Kocabasoglu signed with the company:
Metehan Kocabasoglu (Berlin, Germany) – Representing his Turkish heritage and currently residing in Berlin, Germany, the 6-foot powerhouse almost became a professional footballer before moving into the world of sports-entertainment. Metehan is a former wXw Champion who has competed against the likes of Timothy Thatcher, Ilja Dragunov and NXT UK Champion WALTER.
