Stephanie Vaquer debut, NXT Championship contender’s match set for next week

Former CMLL and NJPW Strong Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer has a date and opponent for her WWE NXT in-ring debut.
Vaquer will compete in an NXT ring for the first time when she faces Wren Sinclair on next Tuesday’s NXT episode. The match was made official after a challenge that was issued by Sinclair when Vaquer arrived in NXT tonight.
This July, Vaquer signed with WWE and wrestled her first two matches for the company at house shows in Mexico. She appeared on NXT via video two weeks ago and then officially debuted for the brand tonight, providing backup for Giulia against NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade. Perez retained her title against Giulia last week with help from the returning Jade.
Sinclair — who is a member of No Quarter Catch Crew with Charlie Dempsey, Myles Borne & Tavion Heights — reacted to Vaquer’s arrival by challenging her to a match next week and promising to show her what the NXT women’s division is all about.
Among the other bouts set for next week is a number one contender’s match to determine who will challenge NXT Champion Trick Williams at Halloween Havoc later this month. It’s a triple threat match that will pit Wes Lee, Ethan Page, and Je’Von Evans against each other.
