Sol Ruca match announced for WWE NXT
After drawing praise for her performance at Heatwave, Sol Ruca will be in action on WWE NXT this Tuesday night.
WWE has announced that Ruca vs. Fallon Henley will take place on NXT this week. The match was set up by Henley mocking Ruca on social media after her loss to NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan at Heatwave.
“I think a round of applause is in order for Sol Ruca — for biggest waste of a title shot opportunity of the year here in NXT,” Henley said. “Because we all know that it should have been me in that spot. And had it been me, we would have been hearing ‘And new.’ So Kelani Jordan, enjoy your little title reign while it lasts. Because it won’t be lasting much longer.”
Jordan was crowned the inaugural Women’s North American Champion at Battleground last month. She’s made two title defenses since then, defeating Michin on NXT TV and Ruca at Heatwave.
Jordan and Ruca both showed off their acrobatics and athleticism at Heatwave. Ricochet tweeted that it looked like the female version of him vs. Will Ospray.
