Samoa Joe to respond to Karrion Kross on WWE NXT

WWE has made several new announcements for tonight’s episode of NXT.
Following the end of last week’s show, Samoa Joe will respond to NXT Champion Karrion Kross tonight. Joe was the special guest referee for last week’s Kross vs. Johnny Gargano NXT Championship match. After Kross retained his title, he choked Joe out with the Kross Jacket.
Kross made his Raw debut last night and lost to Jeff Hardy. The finish of the match was Hardy pinning Kross while having his feet on the ropes for added leverage. Kross was interviewed after the match and said Hardy just made the biggest mistake of his life.
Four matches have also been added to tonight’s NXT. Odyssey Jones will face Andre Chase (Harlem Bravado) in the first round of the NXT Breakout Tournament, Kyle O’Reilly will take on Austin Theory, LA Knight will face Drake Maverick, and Franky Monet will be in action.
The Knight vs. Maverick match was set up by an angle where they got into a confrontation in the parking lot prior to tonight’s show. As a stipulation of Cameron Grimes losing a Million Dollar Championship match against Knight at NXT Great American Bash two weeks ago, Grimes is currently serving as Knight’s butler. Grimes will be in Knight’s corner tonight.
Plus, WWE has announced that Legado del Fantasma will host “Mariachi Musical Madness” on NXT tonight. Legado del Fantasma are feuding with Hit Row.
