Rhea Ripley returns to NXT for first time since WrestleMania 36

For the first time since losing the NXT Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 36, Rhea Ripley was back on WWE television tonight.
Ripley made her return after Charlotte Flair’s title match against Io Shirai on tonight’s episode of NXT. Charlotte got disqualified for hitting Shirai with a kendo stick. There was then a post-match angle where Charlotte attacked Shirai’s leg, but Ripley returned and attacked Charlotte until Charlotte bailed.
Shirai yelled at Ripley after that, with Ripley responding by telling her to shut up.
Ripley then did an interview outside of the building where she said she’s sick and tired of Charlotte. Ripley said Charlotte defeated her at WrestleMania, but that was just one night and she’d like to see Charlotte try to do it again. Ripley called the NXT Women’s title her championship. Shirai then came up to Ripley and they started arguing. They shoved each other and began brawling until being separated by officials.
Before losing the title to Charlotte at WrestleMania 36, Ripley had been NXT Women’s Champion since defeating Shayna Baszler in December.
Shirai had won a six-woman ladder match last month to become the number one contender to the NXT Women’s Championship.
