Report: NXT Battleground pushed back to June, moving locations

NXT Battleground will reportedly be pushed back to June.

The event was originally scheduled for Savannah, Georgia on Sunday, May 26, the same date as AEW Double or Nothing.

The show will be pushed back to Sunday, June 9, according to reports by WrestleVotes and PWInsider. WrestleVotes is also reporting that the UFC Apex in Las Vegas will be the new venue for the show.

With the date being pushed back, it means NXT will have less than a month between NXT Battleground and NXT Heatwave on Sunday, July 7, 2024 in Toronto as part of Money in the Bank weekend.

AEW Double or Nothing and NXT Battleground went head-to-head against each other last year on May 28, 2023.

In last week’s edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, our own Dave Meltzer reported that 1,957 tickets had been distributed to this year’s NXT Battleground event. It was scheduled for the Enmarket Arena. Raw is scheduled for the same venue the following night.
