Pre-show match set for NXT TakeOver XXX
A pre-show match has been added to the card for NXT TakeOver XXX.
Legado del Fantasma (Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde), Breezango, and Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch will face off in a triple threat match on the TakeOver XXX pre-show this Saturday. The winning team will become the number one contenders to Imperium’s NXT Tag Team titles.
Legado del Fantasma (NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar, Mendoza & Wilde) defeated Isaiah “Swerve” Scott & Breezango in a six-man tag match on NXT tonight. Scott had Escobar beat at one point but wasn’t the legal man after accidentally tagging in Tyler Breeze.
Imperium’s Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner have been NXT Tag Team Champions since defeating Matt Riddle & Timothy Thatcher for the titles this May. Imperium don’t have a title defense set for TakeOver XXX.
The TakeOver pre-show will begin at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday. Here’s the updated card for the event:
- NXT Champion Keith Lee defending against Karrion Kross
- Adam Cole vs. Pat McAfee
- NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai defending against Dakota Kai
- Ladder match for the vacant NXT North American Championship (Bronson Reed, Damian Priest, Cameron Grimes, Johnny Gargano, and Velveteen Dream)
