Pat McAfee to appear on next week’s NXT

Pat McAfee is set to make one more appearance on NXT television prior to his match against Adam Cole at TakeOver XXX.
It was announced tonight that Cole and McAfee will take part in a face-to-face segment on NXT’s go-home show for TakeOver XXX next Wednesday. Undisputed Era interrupted a match between Drake Maverick and Killian Dain tonight and attacked them both. Cole then cut a promo daring McAfee to show up on NXT next week. McAfee later sent out a tweet confirming that he’ll be appearing on next week’s show.
McAfee wrote: “You want me back in that #WWENXT arena next Wednesday @AdamColePro? I’d love to.. The last time I was there, you ended up lifeless on the ground w/ @ShawnMichaels worried about your soulless, dumb, stupid body. Can’t wait to dominate you and the whole wrestling community..AGAIN”
Cole vs. McAfee was made official for TakeOver XXX after a confrontation between them closed last week’s NXT. Triple H appeared on ESPN’s Get Up the next morning and challenged McAfee to face Cole at TakeOver.
McAfee, a sports media personality and former All-Pro punter for the Indianapolis Colts who has worked as a contributor for WWE, posted video earlier this week of him training for TakeOver.
Johnny Gargano vs. Ridge Holland and Finn Balor vs. Velveteen Dream on next week’s NXT will determine the final two participants for the ladder match for the vacant North American Championship at TakeOver XXX. Legado del Fantasma (NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar, Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde) vs, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott & Breezango is also set for the episode.
