NXT UK spoilers: Women’s title I Quit match

NXT UK concluded a weekend of tapings at the York Barbican Saturday where both the men’s and the women’s titles were defended. Here are the full results from the taping, courtesy of @BritWresAwayDay.

Dark match: Ligero defeated Iestyn Rees

Rees won with a top rope splash. The crowd seemed a lot more lively than the night before.

— The Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) cut an in-ring promo proclaiming themselves as the best tag team in NXT UK.

Joe Coffey defeated Amir Jordan

After the match, Coffey addressed Ilja Dragunov and then claimed that Wolfgang and Mark Coffey will beat Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch later in the night.

NXT UK Tag Team Champions Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) defeated Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch

An enziguri/powerslam combination gave Gallus the pinfall victory. After the match, Dragunov ran out but was beaten down by Gallus.

Aoife Valkyrie defeated Amale

This is possibly a retake from yesterday’s taping as Valkyrie won with a double stomp off the ropes once again.

Tyler Bate defeated Joseph Conners

Bate won with a Tyler Driver 97 in a match that was very well-received by the crowd.

— Jinny cut a promo addressing Jazzy Gabert while standing on the commentary desk.

Noam Dar defeated Josh Morrell

Dar won with the Novaroller running enziguri.

Ilja Dragunov defeated Joe Coffey

Dragunov pinned Coffey after hitting a Torpedo Moscow running uppercut. The match was reportedly very good.

The Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) defeated The Hunt (Primate & Wild Boar)

Gibson and Drake won with the Ticket to Mayhem double-team lungblower.

Kassius Ohno defeated Jack Starz

Ohno won via submission as he continues to show an emphasis on his wrestling ability. 

A-Kid defeated Brian Kendrick

A spectacular springboard backflip into a DDT gave A-Kid the win via pinfall.

NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray defeated Toni Storm in an I Quit match to retain

Storm quit when Ray threatened to stomp her head into a chair. Piper Niven, Johnny Saint, and Sid Scala came out after the match. 

Alexander Wolfe defeated Travis Banks

Ridge Holland defeated Saxon Huxley

Holland got the win with an Alabama Slam. 

Aoife Valkyrie defeated Isla Dawn

NXT UK Champion WALTER defeated Dave Mastiff

A jackknife powerbomb saw WALTER retain the title via pinfall. Mastiff had been a crowd favourite all weekend and this was reportedly a good match.

NXT UK returns to the Coventry Skydome on Friday, March 6th and Saturday, March 7th for the next set of TV tapings.
