Number one contender’s match announced for next week’s WWE NXT
A match to determine the number one contender for the NXT Championship will take place next Tuesday.
Wes Lee confronted Ilja Dragunov on Tuesday’s show after Dragunov defeated Oro Mensah. They argued over who should be the next person to challenge NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes This brought out Hayes who said he talked to Shawn Micheals and set up a number one contender’s match for next week. The winner of the match between Dragunov and Lee will earn a title match at NXT No Mercy later this month.
Two Global Heritage Cup matches will also take place. Tyler Bate will face Axiom, while Akira Tozawa will face Nathan Frazer.
The Creed Brothers, who won their reinstatement against The Dyad, will take on Edris Enofe and Malik Blade. In a show-long storyline, The Creeds invited all of the tag division to their dojo, which ended with all of the teams getting into a brawl.
