New Women’s North American Champion crowned at NXT Stand & Deliver

Sol Ruca is now a double champion in WWE.

Only a few days after her WWE Speed Women’s Championship win aired, Ruca earned the second title of her pro wrestling career at NXT Stand & Deliver. She won a six-way ladder match for the vacant NXT Women’s North American Championship.

Zaria, Kelani Jordan, Lola Vice, Thea Hail, and Izzi Dame were the other wrestlers vying for the title. Ruca and Zaria — tag team partners in NXT — were fighting at the top of a ladder near the end of the match. Ruca knocked Zaria to the floor but then had to deal with Dame. She delivered a Sol Snatcher to Dame before dishing out a double Sol Snatcher to Hail and Vice and climbing the ladder to become champion.

The Women’s North American Championship was vacant going into WrestleMania weekend because Stephanie Vaquer relinquished the belt after defeating Giulia in a title vs. title match to win the NXT Women’s Championship.

Since the title was introduced in 2024, four wrestlers have had NXT Women’s North American Championship reigns: Jordan, Fallon Henley, Vaquer, and Ruca.

Ruca (real name Calyx Hampton) is now three years into her WWE career after joining the Performance Center in 2022. She’s a former college athlete who competed in acrobatics and tumbling.
