Men’s Breakout Tournament finals set for WWE NXT New Year’s Evil

The finals for the Men’s Breakout Tournament is set for next week.
Oba Femi will face Riley Osborne in the finals of the tournament that will take place at next week’s New Year’s Evil. Osborne pinned Lexis King after King was distracted by Trey Bearhill, who was sitting at ringside. Osborne used the opportunity to shove King off the top rope and land a shooting star press for the win. Bearhill attacked King after the match, only for King to manage a way to escape.
Femi defeated Tavion Heights later in the show. After the match, Femi posed next to the NXT Championship contract that the winner of the tournament will receive. Osborne joined him as the two had a staredown.
Also added to next week is a match between Roxanne Perez and Arianna Grace after Perez slapped Grace on last week’s NXT. An exclusive interview with Ridge Holland will also take place after he injured Ilja Dragunov during a match on last week’s show. Tuesday’s show ended with Trick Williams and Dragunov signing the contract for their match next week.
Dragon Lee will also team up with SmackDown’s Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro of the LWO as they will take on Drew Gulak, Charlie Dempsey, and Damon Kemp after the former accepted a challenge from the latter.
Here is the updated card for next week’s NXT New Year’s Evil:
- NXT Championship: Ilja Dragunov defends against Trick Williams
- NXT Women’s Championship: Lyra Valkyria defends against Blair Davenport
- Tiffany Stratton vs. Fallon Henley – if Stratton wins, Henley must become her servant
- NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament finals: Oba Femi vs. Riley Osborne
