Meiko Satomura celebration set for next week’s NXT UK

A segment involving Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura is set for next week’s NXT UK.

WWE has announced that a celebration for Satomura will take place on NXT UK next Thursday. It was said that Satomura will be presented with a thank you gift in the ring by NXT UK management for everything she’s done for the brand both in the United Kingdom and in Japan.

Satomura won the NXT UK Women’s Championship from Kay Lee Ray last June. In her most recent title defense, Satomura retained against Blair Davenport by referee stoppage when Davenport suffered an ankle injury. After the show aired, Davenport posted a tweet thanking everyone for the love they showed her. Davenport wrote that she’ll be back before you know it.

That match was Satomura’s second title defense against Davenport. She also defeated Davenport to retain the title on an episode of NXT UK last month.

An NXT UK Tag Team title match with Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate & Trent Seven) defending against Oliver Carter & Ashton Smith will headline next Thursday’s episode. Xia Brookside vs. Amale is also set for the show.
