Joe Hendry serves as Trick Williams’ mystery partner on WWE NXT
TNA’s Joe Hendry made a surprise appearance on Tuesday’s WWE NXT in serving as a mystery partner for Trick Williams.
Hendry was introduced as the surprise partner for Williams in the show’s main event on Tuesday, with the duo defeating Ethan Page and Shawn Spears in tag team action to close the show.
Page was chased away from the ring during the match by Meta-Four’s Oro Mensah as the storyline with Mensah looking to avenge Noam Dar’s injury at the hands of Page continues to play out.
With Spears left on his own, Hendry scored the victory for his team after hitting a chokeslam on Spears for the pin.
Hendry and Williams celebrated as the show closed.
Hendry had been featured in advertising for Tuesday’s NXT episode and heavily teased as appearing. A Hendry clip also aired at the conclusion of last Sunday’s NXT Heatwave event.
The TNA star also made an appearance in last month’s number one contender’s battle royal on NXT.
Hendry is part of the six-way TNA World title match set for Slammiversary on July 20 where he will face Moose, Frankie Kazarian, Steve Maclin, Josh Alexander, and Nic Nemeth for the Championship.
