Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott vs. Angel Garza set for NXT TakeOver pre-show
In a change from how things have normally been done, there will be a pre-show match at NXT TakeOver: WarGames on Saturday night.
WWE has announced that Isaiah “Swerve” Scott vs. Angel Garza will be part of the half-hour pre-show broadcast. It will begin at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time and will be hosted by Charly Caruso, Sam Roberts, and Pat McAfee.
NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush retained his title against Garza on the November 13 episode of NXT, though Garza had his foot on the rope during the pin. On that same show, Scott defeated Bronson Reed.
The Allstate Arena is hosting TakeOver: WarGames as part of Survivor Series weekend. Here’s the updated lineup for the show:
- Team Ripley (Rhea Ripley, Tegan Nox, Candice LeRae & Mia Yim) vs. Team Baszler (Shayna Baszler, Io Shirai, Bianca Belair & Kay Lee Ray) in a WarGames match
- Team Ciampa (Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic, and a partner) vs. The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish) in a WarGames match
- Matt Riddle vs. Finn Balor
- Pete Dunne vs. Damian Priest vs. Killian Dain (winner challenges for Adam Cole’s NXT Championship at Survivor Series)
