Heritage Cup match set for Christmas Eve edition of WWE NXT

A Heritage Cup match is set for the Christmas Eve edition of NXT.
During Tuesday’s show, Lexis King asked Charlie Dempsey for a rematch for the trophy, saying he found closure while visiting Minneapolis and wanted another opportunity. Dempsey said he would think about it. Later, while talking to CW broadcaster Ryan Leaf, King was interrupted by Dempsey, who agreed to a Heritage Cup match in two weeks, but would have to survive a workout first. King agreed to the stipulation.
King and Dempsey last met on the October 29 edition of NXT, where Dempsey successfully retained the trophy. During a segment on NXT Deadline, King was shown outside of the arena saying that this was the city where his father, Brian Pillman, died in 1997. He said he has struggled to prove that he is different from his father, but would continue as it was a fight that was worth fighting for.
