Ethan Page bloodies Je’Von Evans after ‘lost my smile’ speech on WWE NXT

Ethan Page lost his smile, but it was all a ruse.
Page attacked Je’Von Evans on NXT following a ruse where he said he had lost his smile, with Evans coming out to convince Page to change his ways. Page wrapped a chair around Evans’ neck, stomping on it. Blood immediately poured out of Evans’ mouth as the show cut to commercial.
Over the last several weeks, Page went through a series of losses, including losing the Iron Survivor Challenge at Deadline and soon after to Tony D’Angelo in a match for the North American title.
Page, who appeared despondent backstage on Tuesday, interrupted Evans and Hank & Tank as they were talking so he could walk to the ring. He gave a passionate promo bringing up his daughter, son, and wife, saying that he wanted to provide for his family. Like Shawn Micheals in the same building back in 1997, he said he had lost his smile. Evans interrupted and said he and the crowd wanted to see the real than Page, the one who has joy for his wife and children. Page then dropped the ruse and attacked Evans.
