Corey Graves joins NXT commentary team at New Year’s Evil

Corey Graves is back on NXT.

Graves joined the NXT commentary desk on Tuesday for New Year’s Evil, calling the action along with Booker T and Vic Joseph. This comes as WWE shuffles around their commentary teams once again following the Netflix premiere of Raw.

After retiring as a wrestler due to injury, Graves first joined the NXT announce team in 2014. In 2017, he joined the Raw commentary team and remained on the main roster, switching between the Raw and SmackDown brands over the years. Most recently, he was part of the SmackDown announce team with Micheal Cole.

The new announce teams for WWE’s main roster shows include Cole & Pat McAfee on Raw, which premiered on Netflix Monday, and Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett on SmackDown, which recently moved from Fox back to the USA Network.

New Year’s Evil saw Giulia win the NXT Women’s Championship and Oba Femi win the NXT Championship. The Rock also appeared on the show.
