Cora Jade, Roxanne Perez advance in WWE NXT Women’s title tournament

The semifinals for the NXT Women’s Championship tournament are now set.
Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez advanced in the tournament on Tuesday. Jade defeated Fallon Henley in a short match with a double arm DDT to open Tuesday’s show. Perez, meanwhile, defeated Jacy Jayne with pop rocks. After the match, Gigi Dolin attacked Jayne, continuing their feud.
As a result, next week’s semifinals will have Lyra Valkyria taking on Jade while Perez will face Tiffany Stratton. The winners of next week’s matches will then move on to NXT Battleground on May 28 in Lowell, Massachusetts, where they will meet to determine a new NXT Women’s Champion.
The championship was vacated earlier this month when Indi Hartwell, who was drafted to Raw as part of the 2023 WWE Draft, vacated the title due to her main roster call-up. Quarterfinal matches took place the following week, with Tiffany Stratton defeating Dolin and Valkyria defeated Kiana James to advance.
