Cora Jade returns to WWE NXT on CW premiere

Cora Jade is back in WWE NXT.

Jade made her surprise return to the promotion on Tuesday’s CW premiere episode, aiding Roxanne Perez in her NXT Women’s title defense over Giulia.

As Perez took the referee, a hooded figure attacked Giulia at ringside during the title match. The interference allowed Perez to hit Pop Rocks and pin Giulia to retain her title in the first NXT bout of the CW era on Tuesday night at Allstate Arena in suburban Chicago.

Jade has been out of action since suffering a torn ACL at an NXT house show in January, just one month after returning from a five-month hiatus from the brand. Jade later underwent surgery to repair the knee injury.

An uneasy alliance between Jade and Perez was teased in a segment posted to WWE’s digital media channels:
