Butch wins WWE NXT Global Heritage Invitational tournament

Butch is the winner of the NXT Global Heritage Invitational.
The SmackDown star defeated Joe Coffey in the finals of the Global Heritage Invitational tournament on Tuesday’s NXT. As a result, Butch will now head to No Mercy this Saturday to challenge Noam Dar for the Heritage Cup trophy.
Butch pinned Joe Coffey after hitting the Bitter End. Both members of Gallus had interfered early in the match, causing them to be ejected by the referee. After Butch defeated Coffey, he exchanged words with Dar, who was watching the match in the rafters along with the rest of the Meta-Four.
The Global Heritage Invitational had taken place most of the last month. Butch won group A on last week’s NXT, while Joe Coffey won a three-way to claim the top spot in group B.
Here is the updated card for NXT No Mercy on September 30:
- NXT Championship: Carmelo Hayes defends against Ilja Dragunov
- NXT Women’s Championship Extreme Rules: Becky Lynch defends against Tiffany Stratton
- NXT North American Championship: Dominik Mysterio defends against either Dragon Lee, Axiom, or Tyler Bate
- NXT Heritage Cup: Noam Dar defends against Butch
- Baron Corbin vs. Bron Breakker
