The main event of this week’s NXT UK was cut short due to an injury suffered by Blair Davenport.
Davenport challenged for Meiko Satomura’s NXT UK Women’s Championship in a Japanese Street Fight on Thursday’s NXT UK episode. The match ended in a referee stoppage when Davenport suffered an ankle injury while going for a double stomp.
With Satomura on the apron, Davenport jumped off the top rope and connected with the double stomp. But when Davenport hit the floor, her ankle landed badly and she screamed out in pain. Davenport grabbed her ankle and the referee put up the “X” sign. The match was stopped and Davenport was stretchered out.

Davenport (Bea Priestley) made her NXT UK debut last July after signing with WWE. Stardom and AEW are among the promotions that she’s previously wrestled for.
This was the second time that Davenport had challenged Satomura for the NXT UK Women’s title. Satomura retained against Davenport on an episode of NXT UK that aired last month. After that match, Davenport attacked Satomura and said that she’d see her again soon.
