Three wrestlers advance to third round of New Japan Cup


The second round of the New Japan Cup began with three tournament matches taking place at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo on Wednesday.
Kazuchika Okada, CIMA, and Hirooki Goto booked their spots in the third round of the tournament with wins at Wednesday’s show. Okada defeated Master Wato, CIMA defeated Yoshinobu Kanemaru, and Goto defeated Dick Togo.
Okada will take on Taichi in the third round of the New Japan Cup, while CIMA and Goto will face each other.
These are the first matches set for the third round of the tournament. Taichi had a bye in the second round due to Hiroyoshi Tenzan being pulled from the tournament after suffering a knee injury.
