Three title matches set for NJPW Burning Spirit in Kobe


Three title matches are set to headline NJPW’s Burning Spirit in Kobe event next month.
Burning Spirit is NJPW’s first tour following the conclusion of the G1 Climax. The tour begins in Yokohama on Friday, September 2 and concludes with Burning Spirit in Kobe on Sunday, September 25.
In the main event of Burning Spirit in Kobe, Will Ospreay will defend the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship against David Finlay. The show will also feature Karl Anderson vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi for the NEVER Openweight Championship and TJP & Francesco Akira vs. Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team titles.

The Burning Spirit tour shows at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo on Monday, September 5 and Tuesday, September 6 will see cheering from the crowd allowed for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic started. Those shows will be held at a reduced capacity.
Plus, the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team titles will be on the line at the Sunday, September 18 Burning Spirit show in Beppu. Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI & YOH will defend against EVIl, SHO & Yujiro Takahashi.
