Third round of New Japan Cup set as four wrestlers advance


Following Sunday’s show in Hyogo, Japan, the New Japan Cup is now down to 16 wrestlers and the third round matchups are now set.
Round two of the tournament concluded Sunday with the following results:
– New Japan Cup second-round match: Hiromu Takahashi defeated Minoru Suzuki
– New Japan Cup second-round match: EVIL w/ Dick Togo defeated Tama Tonga (w/ Jado)
– New Japan Cup second-round match: Shingo Takagi defeated Tanga Loa
– New Japan Cup second-round match: Chase Owens defeated Tiger Mask
– BUSHI, SANADA and Tetsuya Naito defeated Kazuchika Okada, YOH and Hiroshi Tanahashi
– Aaron Henare, Great-O-Khan, Jeff Cobb and Will Ospreay defeated Bad Luck Fale, El Phantasmo, Gedo and Taiji Ishimori
– SHO and Yujiro Takahashi defeated DOUKI and El Desperado
– Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI and Master Wato defeated Taichi, TAKA Michinoku and Zack Sabre Jr.
