Stardom to hold January 4 show prior to NJPW Wrestle Kingdom

NJPW and Stardom are both set to hold big events on January 4, 2024.
At an NJPW/Stardom joint business strategy presentation on Tuesday, it was announced that Stardom will be running an event on January 4 prior to Wrestle Kingdom 18. The Stardom show will be headlined by an IWGP Women’s Championship match. The title is currently held by Mayu Iwatani.
“January 4, 2024 at Tokyo Dome City Hall, Stardom will run a big show before Wrestle Kingdom,” Stardom wrote. “Belltime is noon, so you can go to Stardom and Wrestle Kingdom without missing a thing!”
The Stardom event will take place from Tokyo Dome City Hall. Stardom noted that tickets will be made easily available for overseas fans.
Stardom wrestlers won’t be part of the Wrestle Kingdom 18 card.
It was also announced at the presentation that another joint NJPW x Stardom show is coming soon. The show, which is tentatively titled Historic X-Over 2, will be taking place in 2024.
The first NJPW.x Stardom Historic X-Over event was held in November 2022.
Other news from the presentation included the announcement that NJPW and Stardom are partnering with other promotions from Asia to create the Asia Pacific Pro-Wrestling Alliance:
As NJPW and STARDOM both seek a bigger presence further afield in Asia, the announcement was made of the Asia Pacific Pro-Wrestling Alliance connecting promotions across the continent. Taiwan’s PUZZLE, DFW in China, SETUP from Thailand and more to come will see promising collaboration and exciting possibilities in the months and years to come, growing professional wrestling as a whole in the Asian market.
