Semifinals set for New Japan Cup 2022

This year’s New Japan Cup is down to its final four wrestlers.

Kazuchika Okada vs. Tetsuya Naito and Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Shingo Takagi are the semifinal matches for the New Japan Cup. Both matches are taking place this Saturday (March 26), with the winners advancing to face each other in the finals on Sunday (March 27).

The semifinals and finals are both being held at Osaka-jo Hall.

Okada and Naito advanced to the semifinals with victories on Sunday. Okada defeated CIMA, while Naito defeated Jeff Cobb.

Okada is the current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.

ZSJ and Takagi advanced by winning their quarterfinal matches at Monday’s New Japan Cup show. Takagi defeated his fellow Los Ingobernables de Japon stablemate Hiromu Takahashi, and ZSJ defeated Will Ospreay.
