Second quarterfinal matchup set for New Japan Cup 2022
Tetsuya Naito and Jeff Cobb have advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2022 New Japan Cup.
At Tuesday’s show in Okayama, Naito defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi and Cobb defeated YOSHI-HASHI in New Japan Cup tournament matches. Here are the full results from the show:

– Hiromu Takahashi, SANADA, Shingo Takagi & BUSHI defeated EVIL, Yujiro Takahashi, SHO & Dick Togo
– The Great-O-Khan, Will Ospreay & Aaron Henare defeated Zack Sabre Jr., El Desperado & TAKA Michinoku
– Bad Luck Fale, Chase Owens & Gedo defeated Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa & Jado
– Taiji Ishimori & El Phantasmo defeated Master Wato & Kosei Fujita
– Tomoaki Honma & Tiger Mask defeated Ryusuke Taguchi & Ryohei Oiwa
Okada vs. CIMA and Naito vs. Cobb in the quarterfinals of the tournament are set for Sunday, March 20. The two quarterfinal matches on the opposite side of the bracket will take place on Monday, March 21.
Those two remaining quarterfinal matchups will be determined as the third round of the New Japan Cup wraps up this Thursday and Friday. The tournament matches for those events are:
